Choose freight tools by the job they need to do.
Start with the system that holds the shipment record. Find the remaining gap before adding another tool.
Concept illustrationThe shipment. The gap. The handoff.
Bring the records together so operations can see what is ready and what still needs a person.
- 01Check the file
- 02Surface the exception
- 03Hand it to operations
Name the problem before the product
“We need AI” is hard to test. “At 8 AM, give operations the shipments missing an agreed document, with the owner and last check” is a task you can evaluate.
A freight system, an automation flow, and an AI assistant have different roles. Use the existing system for the official shipment record. Add a workflow only when you can explain what remains manual and why.
Four places to look
Document storage and checks
CargoWise eDocs describes document storage and workflow features. Check whether your current module can already track the missing items you need.
Shipment visibility
Magaya Digital Freight Portal describes tracking, documents, and reporting for customers. An internal staff briefing is a separate use case to assess.
Operational task management
GoFreight describes shipment workflows, document templates, and automated task management. Review what your plan already includes before adding another layer.
An approval workflow
Power Automate supports configured approval flows for documents. This can fit a known sequence with clear reviewers, even when no AI reasoning is needed.
Where an agent may add value
The reference matches the approved shipment list.
The shared folder does not contain the required file.
Staff verifies the documents and decides if the shipment can proceed.
Illustrative example. These are sample records, not a client result or a live system.
An agent may help summarize approved notes, interpret varied internal requests, or bring an agreed set of exceptions into one briefing. Access, source quality, and review still determine whether the result is useful.
These examples are not claims that Puestario has a tested connector for every product listed. We assess the exact system, plan, permissions, and task before offering an integration.
A small internal test
- Choose a limited set of jobs and one agreed required document. Confirm requirements with the responsible operator.
- Read from authorized records. Report reference, missing item, responsible person, source, and time checked.
- Flag inaccessible or ambiguous records. Do not infer customs compliance from a complete-looking folder.
- Let the operator verify exceptions. The standard Puestario service does not book freight, file customs entries, contact customers, or move money.
Questions to ask before adding a tool
Ask for a demonstration using a permitted sample of your own workflow. Confirm modules, access methods, usage limits, data handling, export options, training, and who fixes failures. Vendor descriptions are a starting point, not a completed compatibility test.
Compare the whole workflow: implementation, connectors, model capabilities, staff review, and support. The right approach depends on your configuration.
